As we previously mentioned, Cutting Block Books had a table at the World Horror Convention the weekend of May 8-9, in Atlanta, Georgia. We had a blast! It was great meeting and talking with so many folks, famous and not, with whom we’ve worked on our various anthologies. It really helps to put names to faces. Cutting Block has an amazing group of friends and colleagues (and you know who you are), all of whom we appreciate to no end.
A big thanks to all of you who came by the Cutting Block table, and especially those of you who bought copies of our latest short story anthology, The Best of Horror Library: Volumes 1-5. R.J. Cavender, the book’s editor, participated in the Horror Writer’s Association mass book signing on Saturday. There were a LOT of authors and editors sitting along a series of tables, and a huge crowd of people came by to purchase books and get them signed. Cutting Block had a big spike in book sales during that event! A heartfelt thanks to R.J. for faithfully signing so many books.
We did and saw a lot of other things during the weekend, including attending the Stoker banquet, and cheering as each of the deserving Stoker recipients went up to claim their statuettes. Go Rena! Go Joe! Go all the other winners! Just one thing, guys… leave room for us up there next year. 😉
